Greetings,
 

My name is Emery! I graduated in December 2019 from the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and a minor in New Media. I built a solid technical foundation in the studio with figure and gesture drawing from life, studying anatomy and movement as well as still life, color theory, and composition. 

I also absorbed many digital painting techniques, studied motion media, visual storytelling, character design, and worked towards a mastery of Photoshop and Procreate, both of which I use consistently for painting. 

 

From a young age, I knew I wanted to play a major role in the artistic storytelling process. I fell in love with RPGs that emphasized world and character building-- I felt I truly connected to those characters, especially as an only child. I started wondering how exactly those worlds were brought to life so vividly...and that led me to where I am now!

My goal as an artist is to have a hand in conceptualizing the characters and environments that inspired me to start creating in the first place.

 

I'm always creating original characters and narratives in my free time, and my goal is to join a game development or similar creative team as an illustrator or concept artist.
